STRIMMERS
Hedgehogs sometimes seek refuge in long grass. When people decide it’s time to cut their lawn, a sleeping hedgehog could be seriously injured and it could even be killed.
YOU CAN
- Check long grass before you cut it, if you find a resting hedgehog then move it to a safe place like a hedgehog house or log pile.
- If you’re cutting your grass then leave the edges untouched to prevent hedgehog injury or check thoroughly beforehand.
do not
- Cut long patches of grass near the edges without checking for hedgehogs first.
