Why am I so interested in hedgehogs?

Why did I create this site?

I want the next generation to be able to experience the wonders that our earth has to offer. I believe that one of the greatest animals the world is home to is the humble hedgehog and it’s up to US to save it. Hedgehogs have now been put on the Red list for Britain’s Mammals as vulnerable to extinction, so they need our help!

About me and how I became interested in hedgehogs

Hello I’m Iona, I’m 14 years old and live in Devon. I have always been intrigued by animals and the natural world. When I was 9 years old I found a poorly hedgehog in my garden. We took him to the hedgehog hospital where he was nursed back to health. When he was well enough to return home, staff offered us two other hedgehogs to re-home; we were then able to start our own hedgehog family. Every night I feed my hedgehogs and have encouraged my neighbours to do so too.
