PASSAGEWAYS!
Gardens are perfect feeding spots for hedgehogs, but unless they have a way to get in and out then they can’t access their perfect feeding grounds. Hedgehogs need several gardens to travel between as they will cover 1-2km a night.
YOU CAN
- Make your own passageways from one garden to another. Cut a 13cm by 13cm hole in any fences or netting that boarders your garden.
- Encourage neighbours to create passageways in their gardens so that hedgehogs can access the whole neighbourhood.
do not
- Block your garden off, let hedgehogs access your garden freely.
